Survived by 2 dau, Mrs Robert (Wilma) Young and Mrs Robert (Zelma) Chesak, 5 sons, Thomas R, Paul, Richard, Glenn and James Garriott, 1 bro, Yandell Garriott.

1991 OBITUARY: Richard William Garriott, 70, died Sunday at King's Daughters' Hospital. He was a retired production worker for Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Carrollton, where he worked for 25 years, and a former employee of Williamson Heater Co. He was an Army Veteran of World War 2 and a member of American Legion and Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors: his wife, Alzie Garriott; three daughters, Betty Kinley of Louisville, Elaine Perry of New Albany and Patty Kemper of Carrollton; two stepdaughters, Ginger Bilz and Shirley Facemire; a stepson, Jim Centers; a brother, James T Garriott of Denver, NC; two sisters, Wilma Young of Louisville and Selma Chesak of El Paso, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

2006 OBITUARY: Mr James Trimble Garriott, age 72, of Old Fort, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the VA.Medical Center in Asheville. A native of Trimble County, KY, James was born April 18, 1934 and was a son of Mr & Mrs William Ray Garriott. He was retired from the US Air Force. He was a member of the DAV and was also an avid Fisherman. His family will remember him as a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Thelma L Garriott, of the home; six children: Larry Garriott, Son of Baileyton, Alabama, Diane Mason and husband Rick of Frankfort, KY, Tony Garriott, son and wife Elizabeth of Alexis, NC, Kevin Garriott, son and wife Lisa of Knoxville, TN, Evelyn Tipton, daughter and husband Ray of Marion and Mrs Dale Nelson, daughter and husband Gene of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Selma Chesak of El Paso, TX; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
