     1940 OBITUARY: Bedford, KY, Resident Fails to Regain Consciousness.  Fred Garriott, 35, Trimble county, Kentucky, farmer who shot himself in the head yesterday at noon with a pistol, died at King's Daughters' hospital last night at 9:45 pm of his injuries.

     A son of Mr and Mrs Boone Garriott, living near Half Way Inn, on the state highway between Bedford and Carrollton, Garriott was brought here early yesterday afternoon for treatment, a few minutes alter he turned a gun on himself.

     Besides his wife and parents, Garriott leaves a four-year-old daughter.

Garriott, Fred H, Little Kentucky, died 25 Aug 1940, buried IOOF Carrollton KY, b. 21 Jun 1903, s/o Mr and Mrs DB Garriott, survived by wife, 1 child Frederica, 2 sisters Mrs Henry Trinkle and Mrs Orville Walker. He was a magistrate for Palmyra precinct from 1934?1938.

Daniel Boone Garriott, 67, North Trimble Co, died 12 Dec 1948, buried IOOF-Carrollton, b. 23 Jun 1881 in Cove Hill area, s/o late WL and Emma Winburn Garriott, 3rd of a family of 13 ch, spent his life in Trimble Co, he m. 25 Aug 1901 to Suda Hutcherson who surv. with 2 of their 4 ch. Mrs Alice Walker and Mrs Nannie Lee Trinkle, the eldest dau. died in infancy, an only son, Fred, died in 1940. Surv. by sis Mrs CP Pilow, Mrs OE Kitzner, [both minister's wives], Mrs Marcell Coombs and Mrs L B Winburn, brothers BC, Rev WB and Rev LA Garriott.

Garriott, Mary Suda, 68, died 3 Dec 1950, bur. IOOF-Carrollton, b. Trimble Co, 31 Aug 1882, d/o Sarah and Fred Hutcherson, m. 25 Aug 1901 to Daniel B Garriott who died a year ago, surv. by 2 dau. Mrs Orville Walker and Mrs Henry Tingle, sister Mrs WW Logan, brother Owen Hutcherson. A daughter died in infancy and a son Fred died in 1940.

Walker, Orville, 63, died 10 Oct 1967, Carrollton, KY, bur. there. b. 26 Apr 1904 in Carroll Co., s/o John and Ellen Tingle Walker. m. 12 Sep 1922 to Mary Alice Garriott, who survives with dau, Mrs Howard (Gertrude) McEndre, 2 bro, Jestin and Ralph Walker, 2 sis, Mary Ruble and Bertie Detraz.

     2013 OBITUARY: Frederika C Clore. She was the daughter of Elva Pyles and Frederick "Fred" Garriott and the wife of John Clore. Frederika Clore died at her home in Shelby County, Kentucky, on Tuesday 30 April 30, 2013, at age 78 of Alzheimer's disease.
     She was a grade school teacher at Campbellsburg and Eminence elementary schools in the mid 1960's. After that she taught science at the Shelby County East Middle school. She retired from teaching to work full time in F&J Clore Distributors, the agriculture supply business she co-founded with her husband, Jack Clore. One of the first women entrepreneurs in a profession that was male dominated in the 1970's, she earned a reputation as a successful business woman.
     A graduate of the University of Kentucky, she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. 
She faithfully attended the Campbellsburg Methodist Church, the 1st Christian Church of Shelbyville, and the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
     Her compassion, kind heart, and keen sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. She was survived by her son, Alan Clore.
     Visitation was held on May 10, 2013, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11th, at Shannon's Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
