     1943 OBITUARY: Funeral services for Mrs Mattie Turner, widow of the late GW Turner, were held Thursday afternoon of last week at 3 o'clock at Mt Pleasant. Mrs Turner died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs Robert Upshaw, Kevil.
     Besides her daughter, she is survived by six sons, Cecil Turner, Jackson, MI; Walter Turner, Paducah; Charlie Turner, Lovelaceville; Hubert Turner, Bandana; Earl Turner, Wickliffe; Dalzell Turner, Cairo, IL; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Miss Eva Wyatt, Kevil; Mrs HH Whipple, Bandana; and several other relatives.

     1955 OBITUARY: Earl Turner, 62, Rites are Planned. Funeral services for Earl Turner, 62, who died Monday in Lovelaceville at the home of Carl Hunt, will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Lovelaceville Baptist Church, with the Rev Byron Cullen and the Rev Art Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Ballard County.

     He is survived by his widow, Mrs Pearl Turner; two daughters, Mrs Virginia Sanders of Osburn, ID, and Mrs Marie Cannada of St Regis MT; a son Scott Turner of Brisbane, CA; four brothers, Cecil Turner of Jackson MI, Charlie Turner of Lovelaceville, Hubert Turner of La Center and FD Turner of Cairo, IL; a sister, Mrs Voris Upshaw of Jackson, MI; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

     Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Malone Funeral Home in Lovelaceville.

     2002 OBITUARY: LaVanche Turner, 84, of Murray died at 9:20 am Monday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Mrs. Turner was retired from Purchase Industrial Loan Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Murray and the church's Esther Sunday school class. She was a participant in Lottie Moon Missionary Work.
     Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Fleming of Lovelaceville and Sandra Jackson of Murray; three sons, Kenneth Turner of Auburn, AL, Glenn Turner of Louisville and Gerald Turner of Murray; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
     Mrs Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Murray" Turner, three brothers and two sisters. Her parents were Vernon and Molly Goode Nelson.
     Services will be at 3:30 pm Wednesday at JH Churchill Funeral Home in Murray. Dr Wendell Ray will officiate, and burial will be in Murray Memorial Gardens.

     2009 OBITUARY:
Kenneth "Terry" Turner, 71 of Fairhope, died on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009. He was born in Kevil, KY, and was a longtime resident of Murray, KY.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Turner and his parents, Murray and La Vanche Turner. Survivors include a daughter, Terri (Mike) Thompson of Fairhope; two sons, Darrell (Angela) Turner and Greg Turner of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Nancy Fleming of Lovelaceville, KY, Sandra (Kenny) Jackson of Murray, KY; two brothers, Murray (Janet) Turner of Louisville, KY, and Gerald (Anna) Turner of Murray, KY; seven grandchildren, Matthew Thurman of Fairhope, Andrew Thompson and Alli Thompson of Auburn, Ashley Turner of Pensacola, FL, Hillary, Emily, and Tiffani Turner, all of Panama City, FL; and one great-grandchild, Kaylee Thurman of Troy.
Visitation will begin at 9 am with funeral services at 10 am Wednesday Sept 16 at Fairhope United Methodist Church.

     2010 OBITUARY: Heydlauff, Shirley J. (Turner) Age 75, passed away at her winter home in Avon Park, FL, on February 7, 2010 after a short battle with cancer.

     She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jerald L Heydlauff, her brother, James R Turner (Terry) of Saline, MI, daughters, Sharon Starling (Stephen) of Jackson, MI and Sue Stanley (David) of Pinckney, MI, sons Daniel (Kathy) of Colorado Springs, CO, Dale (Gloria) of Upper Arlington, OH, and David (Heather) of Dexter, MI, fourteen grandchildren: Richmond Frederick (Andrea), Scott Klipstine (Alycia), Holly Roosa (Ryan), Christopher, Seth (Megan), Sara, Emma, Sabrina, Travis, Clifford and Ruby Heydlauff; Katie, Amy and Kari Pickell, and one great grandchild, Elijah Klip-Stine.

     Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, E Conrad and Emma Lee Turner. Born in Jackson, MI on January 30, 1935, Shirley married Jerry on November 22, 1952. They raised their children on a family farm. Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for several firms, as an independent owner-operator hauling freight around the country, and as a research analyst for the Transportation Research Center at the University of Michigan.

     Avid travelers, Shirley and Jerry visited every US State and Canadian province, virtually all of the nations of Central and South America, and several European countries. Shirley was a gifted collector and refinisher of antiques, a skilled cook, a talented horticulturist and a lover of animals. She leaves behind her beloved Yorkie, Joy, who brought considerable happiness to her life.

     An Open House for family and friends to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at her home in Michigan, from 1-4 pm on Saturday, May 8. In lieu of flowers, if you choose to honor Shirley with a monetary contribution, please donate to your local Hospice.
