     1912 NEWSPAPER ARTICLE:
Rev WB Garriott, a pastor of one of the churches of Germantown, this county (Mason), is alleged to have had charges preferred against him of a grave character, that will be thoroughly investigated by a committee from the Lexington Conference, headed by Rev EGB Mann, of Lexington, presiding elder of the District. The matter will be aired before the committee on next Monday.
Friends of the minister declare that certain derogatory stories are the part of a "frame-up" to get even with the pastor on account in his activity in his endeavoring to stamp out the sale of liquor in this county. Several of Mason county's prominent citizens are mixed up in this affair, so it is alleged.
