   2004 OBITUARY: Clore, Janie Ruth Gilliam, 87, of Crestwood, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East, following an extended illness. Ruth was born on August 11, 1917, in Christian County, KY, to Ramus Elden Gilliam Sr and Mary Chester Gant Gilliam.
     After graduating from Bryan Straton Business School in Louisville, she moved to LaGrange to work for attorney Guthrie Crowe. In Oldham County, she met her future husband, Carl Perrin Clore Jr. She then moved to Joplin, MO, where she worked for a short time. While at home with her father in Hopkinsville, KY, she eloped with Carl Clore Jr on November 23, 1940. They then returned to Crestwood, where she spent the remainder of her life. They had two children, Lee Stanton Clore Sr and Carla Jane Clore. In 1964, Ruth and her husband found a winter home in Delray Beach, FL, where they spent three months each year. Carl Clore Jr died on December 2, 1975, after 35 years of marriage. Ruth continued to spend her winters in Florida through 2001.
     She was a 50-year member of the Crestwood Civic Club, a 60-year member of Crestwood Christian Church, a past member of Pewee Valley Women's Club, a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a 25-year volunteer at Baptist Hospital East. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and caregiver to many. She was the second youngest of six children including brothers Paul, Hugh, R E and William Alfred and a sister, Mary, all of whom preceded her in death.
     She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lee Stanton Clore Sr and Marcia Wyatt Clore and Carla Clore Jones and Robert Allen Jones of Crestwood; grandchildren, Dr Lee Stanton Clore Jr of Owensboro, KY, June Ann Clore Ramsey of Bowling Green, KY, Emily Ruth Snowden Clore of Boston, MA, Ann-Clore Jones Duncan of Edmond, OK, Clay Waldner Jones of Crestwood and Robert Gant Jones of Boston; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, with burial in Harrods Creek Cemetery.

2009 OBITUARY: CLORE, LOIS NEAL, of Crestwood, KY, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Friendship Manor in Pewee Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C Clore; and her son, Jerauld W Harris. She is survived by her granddaughter, Judy (Dan) DuBose. Memorial service will be 1 pm Wednesday at Crestwood Christian Church.

2018 OBITUARY: Ruth Marie Pearson Clore, 97, entered Eternal Life Saturday March 31, 2018. Marie was born in Bullitt County, Kentucky to the late Wallace E and Ruth Rogers Pearson. She served her family faithfully as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce E Clore, Sr. Survivors include her children, Sandy Pearce (Dusty), Pierce E. Bud Clore, Jr (Sharon), and Carol Anne Lorenz (David); grandchildren, Jennie L Bell (Bob), Carrie Marie Lorenz, and J Devin Lorenz; great grandsons, Reece, Rylan, and Rowan Bell.
A memorial visitation will be held 10 am-12 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Crestwood Christian Church. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be immediately following the visitation.
