1932 HANGING: A month after Clemmie filed for divorce, Buzzy, her husband, came to her house and asked for $3,000 for her divorce. She told him, "No, you won't get any money from me," as she didn't have that much money. He said, "I will show you. You will never get a divorce from me," in a threatening voice. She told her sister Nellie when she came home from work, to sleep with a loaded shotgun by her bed, for "Buzzy might come during the night and kill them as he was that mean."
Clemmie was found hanged in the barn; her family believed that Buzzy, her husband, was responsible.
