2002 OBITUARY: Dorothy Hancock Garriott, 94, of Bedford, KY, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville, KY. She was born July 22, 1907, in Trimble County, KY, the daughter of Earnest and Inez Carr Hancock. She was a teacher and a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Wise’s Landing.
Survivors include a son, Louis B Garriott of Richmond; a daughter, Betty Garriott Andrew of Bedford; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Garriott; and her parents. Services will be at 11 am Monday at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford, with burial in Bedford IOOF Cemetery.

2012 OBITUARY: Elizabeth "Betty" Inez Garriott Andrew, 70 of Bedford, KY, passed away at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY, on February 12, 2012. Betty was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Louis Barclay Garriott, Sr and Dorothy Hancock Garriott. Betty married Dudley Andrew and unto this union six children were born. Her greatest treasures were her children and grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. Betty worked for a few years as nutritionist for the Trimble County Extension Office. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Wises Landing. Betty loved to sing, raise flowers and loved her farm. Her family remembers her loving to drive fast.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Dudley Worth Andrew of Bedford, KY: six children: Allyson Maryaj (Michael) Arnett, Milton, KY; Aric Matthew Andrew, Louisville, KY; Aaron Marcus (Cheryl) Andrew, Dayton, OH; Audre Miriam (Scott) Daniels, Glen Ellyn, Ill; Averey Martin Andrew, Bedford, KY; Amy Maxine (Michael) Pyles, Bedford, KY; grandchildren, Angela Whitney Arnett Settles, Sara Morgan Andrew, Olivia Lauren Andrew, Malcolm Worth Andrew, Christian Marcus Andrew, Lucas Aaron Andrew, Ellen Meredith Daniels, Robert Samuel Daniels, Meghan Noel Andrew Wilson, Andrew Michael Pyles, Maxwell Mikhail Pyles; great grandchildren, Jackson Michael Denny and Julia Danielle Settles, Zachary Brayden Wilson, Austin Wyatt Wilson, Andrew Kort Wilson.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Louis B Garriott, Jr and one granddaughter Amber Danielle Arnett. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Home and after 9 am Thursday until the service time. Services are 11 am Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford, Kentucky with Reverend Ferrill Davis officiating. No graveside services.
