     1960 OBITUARY: KEVIN R MADDUX-- Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday in Gods Free Tabernacle for Kevin R Maddux age 20, RR 2 Gaston, with Rev Martin Brown officiating, burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery, Friends may call at Parsons Mortuary 4-9 pm today or at the church an hour before the service Tuesday. Mr Maddux was killed in an auto crash sat at Ind 28 and Gaston and Yorktown Pike. He was born in Muncie and was employed at Hoppengardner Home Improvement Co. A 1978 graduate of Wes Del High School he was a member of Gods Free Will tabernacle and the church basketball team.

     1982 OBITUARY: WWII Army Veteran, Robert Maddux, 59, Gaston, died Tuesday at his home at 4:15 pm, after suffering a sudden heart attack. Mr Maddux was born in Westport Dec 5, 1927, the son of Stanley and Pearl Davis Maddux.
     He is survived by his wife, Susan Maddux; three daughters: Darlene, Linda and Julie; three step-daughters; seven sisters: Rosemary Maddux, a missionary in Zambia, Africa, Harriett Cruser, Franklin, Barbara Faidley, Indianapolis, Margaret McCullough and Lois Holzhause, both of Westport, Bonnie Sims, Sardinia and Rachel Brothy, Muncie; and two brothers: David Maddux, Las Vegas, Nev., and Joe Maddux, Gary. He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Maddux.
     The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday morning in the Richmond Funeral Home in Gaston. Friends may call Thursday evening.

     2016 OBITUARY: Eloise Mildred Mock, 92, of Medora, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour with her family by her side. Born Jan. 27, 1924, in Sparksville, she was the daughter of Elmer and Flora Heller Burge, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 22, 1946, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Medora, she married Russell W. Mock, who preceded her in death March 12, 2001.
     Eloise was valedictorian of the 1941 graduating class of Medora High School and worked for several years at Medora Plastics doing office work. She liked sewing, woodworking and doing home improvement projects. She loved to dance, and she and her husband's favorite song to dance to was "Elvira" by The Oak Ridge Boys. She was very active with Jackson County Farm Bureau, where she served as the women's leader and on the board of directors for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
     Survivors include her children, Charles K (Magdalena) Mock, Anne (John) Duell and Nancy (Robert) Martinez; grandchildren, William (Kristen) Mock, Michaela (Frank) Ragle, Travis (Leslie) Hall and Shadd Hargett; great-grandchildren, Heidi Ernest, Michael Ayers, Saffyre Edwards, Luke Hall, Stella Hall, Fiona Hall, Jacob Johnson and Clayton Johnson; a great-great-grandchild, Gracie McPike; sister, Oguerita McKinney; and several nieces and nephews.
     The funeral service will be at 11 am Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev Jack Belk officiating. Burial will follow at Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 pm Sunday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora and from 10 am until time of service Monday at the church. Memorial checks may be made to the Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery Fund or donor's charity of choice. Hague Funeral Home handled arrangements.

     BIOGRAPHY: Noble had been in a hunting accident in the early 1900's and carried a bullet in his head. He was in and out of hospitals for the rest of his life. He is (supposedly) buried in an unmarked grave on the State Hospital grounds, Madison, IN, but the hospital claims the records have been lost.
