1977 OBITUARY: Mildred's obituary states that she attended school in Dayton, Seattle and high school in Walla Walla, WA. She was a bookkeeper and assistant credit manager for A M Jensen Co. in Walla Walla for nearly 30 years. Anderson was a manager of Pittsburgh Paint Co. in Walla Walla, and Mrs Anderson was bookkeeper at the paint store. On leaving that business, the couple moved from Walla Walla to Minam, Oregon, where they operated a cattle ranch. They returned to Walla Walla in the mid-sixties.
Mrs Anderson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Walla Walla, Bee Hive Rebekah Lodge No. 70, IOOF, the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington Dayton Chapter No. 13, the Walla Walla Valley Genealogical Society, Business & Professional Women, for which she was treasurer for seven years, and a past president of the Lady Elks.
Mildred did much work on the Garriott
and related family genealogy and is referenced many times.  It is easy to smile when re-reading her letters to the Washington County Historical Society, reflecting on the soft humor she gave to all the family.
