​     1991 OBITUARY: EARL NELSON MAHONEY, 83, of Burlington, died Monday at Garrard Convalescent Home, Covington. He was a farmer and a retired sign painter for the State Highway Department. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Melvin Mahoney; sons, Daniel Earl Mahoney of Covington, Michael Melvin Mahoney and John Dennis Mahoney, both of Burlington, James Wilson Mahoney and Timothy Lamar Mahoney, both of Union; a daughter, Margaret Jane Brown of Covington; brothers, Clarence Mahoney and Clinton Mahoney, both of Bedford, and Wilson Mahoney of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Ethel McClure, Pauline Conner and Violet Carter, all of Madison, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ransdall Funeral Home, Bedford. Visitation
will be there after 6 tonight. Burial will be in Mahoney Family Cemetery, Trimble County.

     2007 OBITUARY: George W Melvin, 96, of Bedford, KY, died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY. He was born Feb 22, 1911, in Trimble County, KY, the son of Daniel and Edna Garrett Melvin. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by one brother, Ollie Melvin of Bedford, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
     The funeral will be at 2 pm Monday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, KY. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Bedford, KY. 
Friends may call from 3 to 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

     2009 OBITUARY: Ollie Franklin Melvin, 85, of Bedford, KY, died Tuesday, Dec 1, 2009, at his residence. He was born Nov 23, 1924, in Trimble County, KY, the son of Daniel Franklin and Edna Garrett Melvin. He enjoyed farming. He was a member of Bedford Baptist Church and was a master mason.
     He is survived by two children, Elizabeth Lynn Melvin Shelley and Franklin DeMint Melvin, both of Bedford, KY; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Jones Melvin; his parents; two sisters, Lena Melvin-Furnish-Gentry and Margarett Mahoney; and two brothers, George Melvin and Kenneth Melvin.
     The funeral was at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, KY. Burial was in Campbellsburg Cemetery.
