1953 OBITUARY: Mrs Nancy Adeline Garriott, 82, a Fayetteville resident for the past 27 years died at the pm at her home on Hwy 62 West. She was born Feb. 26, 1871. The daughter of John and Martha Brown in Hickory County, MO. Survivors are five sons, GW Brown of Wichita, Kansas, William F Garriott and David L Garriott both of Fayetteville, James E Garriott of Upland, California and Hugh Garriott of Cincinnati, IA. 2003 OBITUARY: Gweneth "Aldeen" Johnston, age 78, of Olathe, KS, died Saturday, September 27, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, KS. She was born the daughter of Hugh and Leola (Veach) Garriott on July 20, 1925 in Cincinnati, IA. She graduated from Centerville high School and attended Centerville Jr College.
Aldeen was united in marriage to Charles W Johnston on April 3, 1948 in Mexico, MO. She worked for Sears Department Stores in Moline, Il and Davenport, IA for over 20 years in the Personnel Dept. Aldeen was preceded in death by: her parents and sister, Joan Garriott.
Surviving family members are: husband, Charles Johnston of Olathe, KS; 3 daughters, Janie Guidice and her husband, Charles of Aurora, CO, Jean Johnston of West Des Moines, IA and Donna Morrison of Overland Park, KS; brother, Leslie Garriott of Holiday Island, AK; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Silva of Littleton, CO, Lan and Tyler Morrison of Overland Park, KS.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 11:30 am at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, IA. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 10 am until time of Service Thursday, October 2, 2003 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Avenue of Flags at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery or Cancer Research.
2012 OBITUARY: Juana Florence "Flossie" Garriott, 77, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Fayetteville. She was born February 14, 1935 in Crosses, AR the daughter of Amos and Anna Patrick Jordan. She was a Christian; worked for the NWA Times and was retired from Modern Fence.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and sister, Jeraldine Foster. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Carlos Garriott of the home; her children, Rocky Garriott, Carma Garriott Lewis and Larry Garriott and wife, Luana, her sisters, Janie Williams, Joy Ashworth, June Long and husband, Bobby and Janice Myers and husband, Jimmy; her grandchildren, Jason Garriott, James Garriott, Katie Garriott, Matthew Garriott, Anna Lewis and Cora Lewis.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, July 9, 2012 at Round Mountain Cemetery with Cotton Presley officiating.

2013 OBITUARY: Leslie Hugh Garriott, age 85, of Wilton, Iowa, and a former Cincinnati, Iowa resident, died on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born the son of Hugh "Shorty" and Leola Jane (Veach) Garriott on February 10, 1928 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from the Cincinnati High School in Cincinnati, Iowa in 1946. He served his country with the United States Navy, and after his service, returned to Iowa and worked with Shorty in the lumber business. On August 26, 1955, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Liz" Rowan in Des Moines, Iowa. They lived in Cincinnati, Iowa until 1965 when Les moved the family to Davenport, Iowa. He worked at John Deere Harvester in East Moline, Illinois and was a Surpervisor until his retirement in 1985. He was fond of fishing, and looked forward to his Minnesota trips every year. After retirement, Les and Liz moved to Holiday Island, Arkansas where they spent 20 years before moving to Wilton. He loved woodworking and spent many hours on the spinning sailboats. His most recent projects were decorative birdhouses. Many benefited from his gardening skills. He was a member of the American Legion in Wilton and was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Prosperity Lodge in Cincinnati, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lonnys Joan Garriott and Aldeen Johnston.
Les is survived by: his wife, Elizabeth "Lez" of Wilton, Iowa; daughters, Julie Walker and her husband Bob of Clancy, Montana, and Lisa Chapman and Joe Bromell of Moscow, Iowa; one grandson, Devin Chapman, of Iowa City, Iowa, as well as many nieces and nephews he loved.
Memorial Masonic Services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa. military burial of his ashes will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cincinnati, Iowa. No visitation is planned and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Iowa City or First Responders of Wilton, Iowa.

2015 OBITUARY: Larry Carlos Garriott, 64, of Fayetteville died November 22, 2015 in Fayetteville.
He was born April 1, 1951 in Fayetteville to Carlos Garriott and Bonnie Hoskins. He was self-employed. Larry was a coach for Special Olympics and was active with Toys For Tots. He was a member of Jenks Quarterback Club where he assisted in building their football field. Kids were very important to Larry. He was an avid hunter and Razorback fan and loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Garriott; brother, Orville Lee Capwell Jr; step-mother, Florence Garriott; and step-father, OL Dutch Capwell. He is survived by two sons, James Carlos Garriott and Michael Jason Garriott, both of Fayetteville; his mother, Bonnie Capwell-Brooks; step-father,William Brooks; one brother, Rocky Garriott of Fayetteville; three sisters, Lisa Capwell of Springdale, Jeanne Collins and husband, Ronnie of Springdale and Carma McAleer and husband, Michael of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; the love of his life, Jan DuVall of Springdale; his nieces and nephews Hillary Capwell, Bonninda Bratton, Michael Trammell, Ollie Trammell, Tessa Ward, Kesha Walker, Natasha Henslee, Katherine Garriott, Matthew Garriott, Anna Lewis and Cora Lewis.
Memorial services will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev Steve Dixon officiating. Cremation arrangements by Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
