     1984 OBITUARY: Cecil Nellie Garriott, 85, of Winfield, MO, formerly of Fulton, died Monday at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St Louis. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the Baue Funeral Home Chapel in St Charles, MO. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
     She is survived by her husband, Walter "Jack" Garriott; two sisters, Dorothy Wiedey of St Charles, and Hazel Cullum, of Los Angeles.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Estes, and two sisters, Lillian Charlton and Madonna Perkinson.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or the American Lung Association.

     2010 OBITUARY: Ida Marie Garriott, 96, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away at Fulton Manor Care Center on Thursday, May 13, 2010. She was born May 20, 1913, in Portland, the daughter of the late LeeRoy and Anna L (Gruber) Polacek. On February 19, 1931, she was united in marriage to William R "Dutch" Garriott. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1998.
     She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by nine sons, Edward G Garriott, William Leroy Garriott, Clyde D Garriott, Donald W Garriott, Lawrence Dale Garriott, Vernon D Garriott, Gary L Garriott, Charles R Garriott and Randy G Garriott, two daughters, Juanita Case and Shirley Spyers, thirty-five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Mae Starkey, numerous neices and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
     She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Roger Spyers, one great-granddaughter, Sheryl Lynn McDonald, five brothers, Royal Edward "Pete" Polacek, Clarence Federic Polacek. Charley Polacek, August Francis Polacek and Omar Louis Polacek, two sisters, Lillie Etta Goodman and Minnie Pearl Payne.
     Ida was a loving wife and mother. She was Baptised at Ebenezer Baptist Church. She had worked for the Samuel Shoe Factory. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, cooking, going to the casino and spending time with her family.
     Funeral services at 2:00 pm, Monday, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.  Interment at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Fulton Manor Care Center.

     2012 OBITUARY: Jeanie Lou (Adams) Garriott 60, of Fulton, passed away at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on Saturday September 15, 2012 with her family at her side. She was born September 26, 1951 in Fulton, the daughter of the late Forrest Marvin Adams and the late Pearl Ellen (Martin) Adams. On June 20 1969 she was united in marriage to Charles R Garriott, who survives of the home. In addition to her husband of 43 years, Jeanie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Marveena L Acton and husband Jeff of Fulton, one son, Chuck R Garriott of Fulton, and five sisters, Margaret Garriott and husband Vernon of Fulton, Sharon Haymart of Fulton, Rose Hoover of Fulton, JoAnn Pundmann and husband John of Fulton and Nomi Litel of Auxvasse.
     Jeanie graduated from Fulton High School in 1969. Jeanie was very artistic, she enjoyed singing and music, scrapbooking, painting and crafts. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening and bird watching. Jeanie lived life to its fullest.
     Funeral services will be 12:00 pm on Friday September 21, 2012 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Rev Mike Crowson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 8:00 pm on Thursday September 20, 2012 also at the funeral home.      2015 OBITUARY: Brent Lee Garriott, 54, of Fulton passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2015. He was born in Fulton on September 9, 1960, the son of Edward Garriott and Betty Winingear Garriott. 
     Brent served his country in the United Stated Marine Corps. He worked as a truck driver for Wolfmeier Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, going to car shows, and watching the Discovery Channel and GRITtv. He was a wonderful grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
     Those remaining to mourn his passing include his parents, Eddie Garriott (Maxine) and Betty Garriott; sons, Chance Garriott (Sarah), and Brent Garriott, Jr. (Samantha Thompson), all of Fulton; daughters, Tia Garriott and Kim Lytle, both of Fulton; brother, Richard Garriott of Fulton; sisters, Kim Garriott of Thompson, Mo., Brenda Garriott of Fulton, Vicky McDonald of Fulton, and Ronda Schenewerk (Chuck) of Wardsville, Mo.; grandchildren, Bailey Crane, Abbigail Garriott, Brooklyn Garriott, Caleigh Garriott, Sophia Garriott, Daryin Cole, Natreyah Cole; and best friend, Ed Estes. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Brandon Lee Garriott.
     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Dr. Gary Shultz officiating.      2016 OBITUARY: Juanita Case, 73, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Boone Hospital Center, with her Family by her side. She was born in Fulton on December 4, 1941, the daughter of the late William R "Dutch" Garriott and the late Ida Marie (Polacek) Garriott. On May 1, 1959, Juanita was united in marriage to William "Ralph" Case Sr He survives her passing. Juanita spent her life caring for her home and family. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and taking long drives with Ralph. More than anything Juanita enjoyed spending time with her family.
     Those remaining to mourn her passing include her husband of 56 years, one son, William "Ralph" (Karey) Case Jr of Fulton, daughter, Tina (Kenny Simpson) Case of Fulton, brothers, Edward (Maxine) Garriott, Leroy (Tillie) Garriott, Donald (Dean) Garriott, Dale (Hazel) Garriott, Vernon (Margaret) Garriott, Gary (Gerry) Garriott, Randy Garriott and Charles (Linda) Garriott, all of Callaway County and Clyde Garriott of LaPlata, MD, a sister, Shirley Snipes of New Bloomfield, grandchildren, Levi (Patricia) Case and Caleb Simpson, great-granddaughter, Arianna Case and many nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services are at 10:00 am, Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Michelle Scott Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery. Music for Mrs. Case will be " Go Rest High on That Mountain" and Amazing Grace" Casket Bearers: Richard Case, Jeff Garriott, Richard Garriott, Gary Garriott, Dustin Case and Mark Mistler.

     2018 OBITUARY: Minnie Marcella Hawk, 91, formally of Fulton passed away on September 11, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Portland, Missouri. The family will receive guests from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
     Minnie was born October 7, 1926, in Steedman, Missouri, son of the late William and Gussie (Matteson) Garriott. She was united in marriage to Thomas Hawk on April 9, 1945. She graduated in 1944 from Fulton High School and owned Grandma's Restaurant before working as a cook at Callaway Hospital until her retirement. Minnie enjoyed reading and working Sudoku puzzles but her greatest love was spending time with her family or taking care of animals.
     Survivors include, three sons, William "Bill" Hawk of Edwardsville, IL, Lionel Hawk of Fulton and Donald Hawk (Joan) of Edwardville, IL; one daughter, Connie Schwab (Connie) of Edwardsville, IL; six grandchildren, Lisa S. Ruesh (Tom), Kristi L. Real (Tom), William D. Hawk, Wendy A. Hawk, Donald C. Hawk and Kimberly Ross; eleven great-grandchildren, Austin Ruesch, Baily Ruesch, Taylor Real, Connor Real, Mitchell Real, Joshua Hawk (Danielle), Brittnami Hawk, Spencer Ross, Zackary Ross, Abigale Ross and Harrison Ross.
     Minnie was preceded by one son, Ronald Hawk; three brothers, Walter "Jack" Garriott and William "Dutch" Garriott and Clark Raymond Garriott; two sisters, Mary Edwards, Nellie Polacek and an infant sister .
     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Second Chance Animal Rescue.

     2019 OBITUARY: William Leroy Garriott, 85, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away at his home on March 11, 2019. Leroy was born December 27, 1933, in Steedman, Missouri, the son of the late William Royal "Dutch" Garriott and the late Ida Marie (Polacek) Garriott. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
     On April 18, 1954 LeRoy was united in marriage to Tillie (Velte) Garriott. Tillie survives his passing. LeRoy worked at Thomas Feed Store in New Bloomfield, Grigg's DX, Dawson and Geldner Trucking, Wolfmeier Trucking, Edgar Perry Excavating, Manley Shaw Mining and Trucking and Holland Mining prior to starting Garriott's Excavating in 1959.
     Those remaining to mourn his passing include his wife, Tillie, of 64 years; children, Robert William Garriott (Sherri) of Kissimmee, Florida, Ida Lynn Porter (Ric) of Jefferson City, Missouri and Gayleen Ousley (George) of Columbia, Edward Garriott (Maxine), Donald Garriott (Dean), Dale Garriott (Hazel), Vernon Garriott (Margaret, Gary Garriott. Randy Garriott and Charles Garriott (Linda), all of Callaway and Clyde Garriott of LaPlata, Maryland; sister, Shirley Spires of New Bloomfield; brother-in-law, Ralph Case of Fulton; grandchildren, Christina Ayres, Timothy and Thomas Garriott, Carrie Fowler, Garret Rosembum, C.J. Kennedy and Greg Ousley; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, LeRoy was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Case; sisters-in-law, Jeanie Garriott and Gerry Garriott.
