     2009 OBITUARY: Robert Lee Garriott 81, of Indianapolis passed away March 13, 2009. Bob was 1945 graduate of Warren Central High School and a WWII Navy veteran. He was employed at PR Mallory Company as a draftsman and engineer from 1947 to his retirement in 1989. He was a former scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 79. Bob also enjoyed wood carving and bird hunting.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Hattie Garriott; a sister, Betty LaFara and a son, James.  Bob is survived by his wife of sixty years Dorothy Garriott; son, Michael (Brenda) Garriott;  daughter, Kathy Lindsey; sister, Mary Portteus; brother, William Garriott; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
     Services will be Wednesday, March 18, 11 am at the Flanner and Buchanan Community Life Center Washington Park East with calling at the Community Life Center, Tuesday, March 17 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Burial will be at the Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Cancer Society.
