    1887 ORDAINED: Samuel (at 28 years old) went to the Baptist Seminary at Boliver, MO, was converted and joined the Baptist Church in 1886. On 25 Oct 1887 was ordained to the Ministry at Halfrock, MO. It is said he felt the call of Jesus while plowing. He stopped the horses, knelt down there in the field and promised to follow and dedicate his life to God. He moved his family west to Neodesha, Wilson Co, KS in Nov 1906. The three older sons had gone on before to find the jobs in the new industries.
