     1937 OBITUARY: Stephen H Garriott, son of William and Martha Garriott, was born August 3, 1962, in Missouri, and departed this life early Tuesday morning, April 20, 1937, at the home of his daughter, Mrs Elza Brannaman near Fall River, Kansas, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 17 days.
     He came to Kansas when a mere infant with his parents, who took a homestead a few miles northeast of Fall River, and Mr Garriott resided continuously in this community until his death.
     He was united in marriage to Anna Ryan in November, 1890. To this union was born two daughters, Mrs Nellie Brannaman of Fall River, Kansas, and Mrs Ida Copenhaver of Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs Garriott died June 16, 1915.
     He is survived by his two daughters; three grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Ira Garriott of Fall River, Kansas, Louis Garriott of Fredonia, Kansas, Mrs Grant Ryan of Fall River, Kansas, and Mrs Harve Patterson of Minneapolis, Kansas; also other relatives and many friends.
     Funeral services were held at the Fall River Christian church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 21, conducted by the Rev CO Wilson, pastor of the Fredonia Christian church. Interment was in the North Pole cemetery beside his wife.
