     1997 DEATH: Douglas was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease during an Army physical in 1965. He completely recovered after surgery and 52 Cobalt treatments. He had heart valve problems and was on the list for a heart transplant, in 1997, when he died.

     1997 OBITUARY: Mrs Eleanor Miller, age 83, passed away March 22, 1997 at her home. Eleanor was the first of ten children and was born and raised in Indiana. She moved to Detroit with her husband in 1937, where she began her career in the 1950s as an artist and art teacher. Eleanor and her husband, Harold E Miller, moved to St Helen in 1972 where she continued to teach art classes and, until the last days of her illness, she continued to paint and sketch.
