     1ST MARRIAGE: George first married Norma Kay FLEISCHAUER. They had two sons:
09----STEVEN DONALD GARRIOTT [b. 10 Mar 1951, Clinton Co, IN; d. 12 Mar 1973- age 22, bur. St. Luke Cemetery]. He was a passenger killed in a one-car accident, where (according to Sheriff's officers) the car failed to negotiate a curve and became airborne before crashing into a tree head-on, three miles south of Frankfort, IN where the car caught fire. Two other occupants of the car suffered multiple injuries, but survived the crash; and

     1985 OBITUARY: George D Garriott, 60, of Mulberry, died at 12:20 am Saturday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been in ill health three years. Born in Jasper County, 14 Nov 1925, he had spent 10 years in Monticello before moving to Mulberry in 1983. Mr Garriott was employed at White County Memorial Hospital 10 years before retiring. He formerly worked as a custodian in the Mulberry school system, and was employed at Peerless Wire Co. in Lafayette. His first marriage was to Norma Fleishauer. On 29 Sep 1973, he was married to Lois M Arnett. She died 14 Nov 1981. He was later married 20 Aug 1983, to Frances Golden, who survives. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Mulberry and American Legion in Monticello.
