09----CAROL JOYCE GARRIOTT [b. 7 May 1931, Gary, Lake Co, IN], a Stenographer [marr appl], 1st married John Wilson FRANCIS [b. 17 Jun 1901; d. 1973], an Organist, on 31 Mar 1951, Crown Point, Lake Co, IN: Bk 148/225, he the son of Frederick R Francis and Rachel Seton McGlishon. They had two children:
     Carol 2nd married Robert George FISHER [b. 16 May 1932] on 12 May 1962, Merrillville, Lake Co, IN,
     Carol 3rd married Ted PRETTYMAN.
09----LEONARD GLEN GARRIOTT [b. 16 Dec 1932; d. 15 Jun 1990, San Francisco, CA- age 57], SSN: 305-30-4041/IN, m. Suzy KAZARIAN, had eight children;
09----HOWARD LEWIS GARRIOTT [b. 30 Aug 1934, Gary, Lake Co, IN; d. 23 Mar 1999, New Haven, Allen Co, IN- age 64, bur. Calumet Park Cemetery], worked at Maple Manor Nursing Home, m. Phyllis PONDER.

     1940 Lake Co, IN census: has Leonard Garriot 31; Thelma Garriot 28; Sarah Joyce Garriot 8; Leonard Glenn Garriot 7; and Howard Garriot 5.

     1998 OBITUARY: Thelma M Garriott- age 85, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 1998. Mrs Garriott had been a lifelong area resident, she was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, and had served as a Sunday School teacher for 35 years and was a member of the SEW-BEE-IT at Augustana. Thelma was also a volunteer Pink Lady at St Mary's Medical Center with 25 years of service.
     Survivors: 1 son, Howard Garriott; 1 daughter, Carol Fisher, both of Hobart; 1 brother, Edward (Ruth) Bohling of Lowell; 3 sisters, Elsie (William) Feeler of Pekin, IN, Violet (Edward) Howe of Robertson, IL, Dorothy Ashby of Miller; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; 1 daughter-in-law, Susie Garriott of California.
     Preceded in death by husband, Leonard; 1 son, Leonard Glen; 2 brothers, Russell and Frank Fay; 1 sister, Lillian Fish. Memorial contributions may be made to Augustana Lutheran Church, American Cancer Research or Hospice of the Calumet. St Mary Medical Center Auxiliary service will be held Friday at 3 pm. Funeral services Saturday, March 28th at 10 am from Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart, Rev Ronald Deck officiating. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2-5 and 7-9 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Rd, Hobart.
     In the program for the Church services held at Augustana Lutheran Church, it shows that she was Baptized on October 16, 1913 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Miller, IN. She was Confirmed July 22, 1928 in the same church. On the same program it shows that she also had two brothers that were deceased: Russell Fay and Frank Fay, also one sister Lillian Fay Fish. Aunt Thelma was a beautiful person who was loved by all, she will be missed, but will always be in our hearts.

     1999 OBITUARY: Howard L Garriott- age 64, of Fort Wayne, formerly a lifelong Hobart resident, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 1999. Mr Garriott retired from Maple Manor Nursing Home and was a former member of Augustana Lutheran Church. He is survived by his son Alan (Cynthia) Garriott of Fort Wayne; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Carol Fisher of Hobart. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard E and Thelma Garriott and brother Leonard G Garriott. Funeral services Friday, March 26, 1999, at 11 am from Rees Funeral Home, 600 W Ridge Road, Hobart. Rev Ronald Deck officiating. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
