    MILITARY: Allen Pecar exhibited an interest in electronics in high school and attended Cass Technical High School in Detroit. He enlisted in the army after high school-- and one day in college-- and became a radio specialist in Czechoslovakia and other European stations.

     BRONZE STAR: Allen was awarded the Bronze Star Metal: "Technician Fourth Grade Allen J Pecar, 161773369, Infantry, Headquarters Company, 376th Infantry Regiment, United States Army, for meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States in France and Germany from 10 Sep 1944 to 24 Mar 1945. In the performance of his duties as radio repairman, Technician PECAR distinguished himself by his high degree of radio maintenance throughout several months of regimental operations in the front line areas. He devised and initiated a rotation plan which affected an uninterrupted supply of serviceable sets to all units of the regiment, Technician PECAR's technical skill and efficiency are a credit to himself and the military service....."
