     1900 Bedford, Trimble Co, KY census: has (all b. KY) Joseph E Abbott 33, Farmer; Mildred Abbott 30 (3 children-2 living); Bettie L Abbott 12; and Mattie C Abbott 10.

     BIOGRAPHY: Joseph Abbott killed another man in Trimble County, KY over a fence dispute and fled with his wife to Iowa. Joella Abbott (Great Granddaughter) related this story, with the fact her father visited Joseph Abbott's wife after his death in Iowa.
