     Carrie shares this monument with William Ambrose Thompson's first wife, her sister Merta. She was married first to Robert Alvin Franklin and was widowed by 1900. She lived with Merta and Wm A Thompson after becoming widowed. She and Merta are on opposite sides of the same monument.

     1971 OBITUARY: William Harding Thompson and his wife, Leo, were killed in an automobile accident west of Bisbee, Cochise Co, Arizona on Sunday, 24 Oct 1971, both in their 60's. Their car, "Traveling westbound on US [probably] 90 six miles west of Bisbee Sunday night ran off the road into a canyon and burst into flames. The two occupants were thrown clear of the car, but Highway Patrolmen said Mrs Leo F Thompson, of 3360 E. Bronco Lane, Catalina [some 25 miles north of Tucson], was dead at the scene and her husband, William H Thompson, was in critical condition at Copper Queen Hospital in Bisbee."
