     1962 DEATH NOTICE: The body of Paul L Garriott, Jr 32, of 504 E Rose, will be flown to the United States mainland from Honolulu Tuesday. He was killed last Thursday in the crash of a Federal Aviation Agency plane at Canton Island in the South Pacific. Garriott is the son of Mr and Mrs Paul Garriott, 9121 NE 36. Dated 1 May 1962

     1962 OBITUARY: Services for Paul L Garriott Jr, 32, of 504 E Rose, who was killed Thursday in a plane crash on Canton Island in the South Pacific, are pending with Smith & Kernke Funeral Home. Garriott was on duty with the Federal Aviation Agency when the plane carrying him and five other men crashed after landing. He was maintenance technician on the FAA Constellation.
     A native of Oklahoma City, Garriott graduated from Putnam City High School, then entered the navy. He served three years before being discharged. When the Korean War began, he joined the air force and flew 26 combat missions as flight engineer. Garriott was attached to the 305th Troop Carrier Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base until July 1961 when he left the service to work for the FAA. At the time of his death he was serving a two-year duty in Honolulu.
     Surviving are his wife, Barbara, and three sons, Paul III, Robert and Ricky; who were with him in Honolulu; his parents, Mr and Mrs Paul Garriott 9121 NE 36; a brother, DA, Bethany, and two sisters, Mrs Al EM Miller, Tecumseh, and Miss Florence Garriott, 9121 NE 36.

     1993 OBITUARY: Garriott, Paul LeRoy, 90, was born August 4, 1903. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha F; son, Paul, Jr; and grandson, Ricky of California. Survived by son, DA; daughters, Florence and Marjorie Sue; two sisters, Bess and Kristine, both of Ft Worth, TX; and four generations of descendants. He was a WW1 Navy veteran and owned Northside Carpet Cleaners in Okla. City for many years. Our father and grandfather left us Sept. 13, 1993. He was and will always be loved by all who knew him, especially all of his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly-- but will never be gone.

    2000 OBITUARY: Dhu-Andrew "Paul" Garriott passed away suddenly from a car accident on Tues, July 18, 2000. He resided in Blanchard, OK. Paul was born in Kansas City, MO on Aug. 11, 1970. Paul graduated from Dibble HS, Dibble, OK in 1988 and attended Mustang Public schools prior to graduation. Paul is survived by his parents Marc & Lynda Garriott of OKC; his wife, Stephanie Worthen Garriott, his sons, Blaine Andrew Garriott & Michael Worthen, a daughter, Bailey Worthen, all of the home; his sister, Ginna Garriott Sloan & husband Kirk Sloan & nephews, Josh & Jarred Sloan of Mustang, OK; grandmothers, Sharon Bradford of Bethany, OK, Juanita Ness of Kansas City, MO & many more loved ones and friends.
     Paul was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Al Ness, DA Garriott & Brad Bradford; great-grandparents, Paul & Bertha Garriott; also, cousin Tami Hendrickson. Paul's golden smile & loving heart will be remembered by all that met and knew him. His kind and gentle nature was a gift from God and now God has called him to be a special angel to watch over all of us.
     His love for his family, especially his son, Blaine, will be eternally cherished. "Smile and you will remember Paul; laugh and you will remember Paul. Until we see you again, we will have our wonderful memories to carry us on. We love you always and forever. Paul, you touched so many people in your short time with us. Save us a place beside you. We will all be coming Home to be with you again. Remember this, Paul always said, 'Never feel guilty for wanting happiness'." Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 21, 2000 at Memorial Park Cemetery.

     2008 OBITUARY: Kriston ''Kris'' Theodore Garriott, 59, was born on May 13, 1949 and met his Savior on August 16, 2008. Kris married his life-long love of 39 years, Karen Bostian, on November 8, 1968. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Oklahoma and went to work as an aerospace engineer at Tinker Air Force Base, where he served for 36 years. Kris was a wonderful husband, amazing father, loving grandfather, and a pillar of both wisdom and generosity to all his friends and family. His courage and strength shined throughout his time in this world. He will be forever cherished in the hearts of all that knew him. Kris is survived by his wife, Karen; their two children, Aaron, and his wife Gina, and Kristy Garriott; grandchildren, Austin and Ashlyn; mother, Sharon Bradford; brother, Marc Garriott; and 2 sisters, Dhuann Robertson, and Sara Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his father, DA Garriott. Service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, at 10 am, at Candlewood Chapel, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Burial will follow at 1pm at Elm Grove Cemetery in Perkins, OK.
